The St. Ann Conference partners with Giving Property We are excited to share that there’s a new way to support our work of helping our neighbors in need.
You can now make property donations to SVDP by donating a second home, land, or commercial property you no longer need to support the charitable works to the poor in our area. Our partners at Giving Property will appraise the donation, sell it, and St. Ann Conference will receive the proceeds. Plus, you could potentially claim a sizable tax deduction.
This program takes any property type (land, homes, commercial) in any location so long as there is equity. Even if you owe back taxes, have a mortgage balance, or deferred maintenance, it’s no problem. Giving Property will pay off all loans, liens, commissions owed and pay all closing costs. If you have a real estate asset that is costing you money or not being utilized, donating it is a great way to give back and you may even claim a significant tax deduction!!
Why Donate Property?
- You inherited a house from a loved one that you don’t need and you want to honor their memory by donating it to St. Ann Conference of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
- You purchased a piece of land intending to build on it but never did. So, each year you pay taxes for something you do not use.
- You have a piece of land or property that is taking a lot of time and effort to sell, and you realize you would rather avoid the hassles of selling and receive a tax deduction instead.
Donations of property strengthen the programs provided by St. Ann Conference, including our food pantry building effort, food pantry operation, and paying utility/housing bills of the poor in our area.
