About Us

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international Catholic charitable organization which was founded in 1833 by Frederick Ozanam. It is organized into conferences which are staffed by volunteers called Vincentians. Its focus is to offer person-to-person services to the needy and suffering.

St. Vincent de Paul, St. Ann Conference in Haines City Our conference has helped nearly 100,000 men, women, and children since 2002 with food, financial assistance for utility bills or emergencies, GED classes, and temporary housing. In addition to helping people meet their daily needs, we are responsible for the Angel Tree Program that provides Christmas gifts for children. The Conference serves the poor not only in the Haines City area, but also in surrounding communities such as Davenport, Dundee, Lake Hamilton, Loughman, Lake Alfred, Waverly, and the 34759 zip-code area of Poinciana.

The poor come from every ethnic, cultural, and economic background, as well as every age group. Many families have incomes of less than $1200/month and approximately 90% of the people we help are not Catholic. We are funded primarily by the parish of St. Ann, and its ministries, and by the donations of various clubs and communities in our area.  If you have questions about our services, or would like to volunteer or make a food donation, call 863-419-4819.

Financial donations may be sent to: Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 1001 S 10th St., Haines City, FL 33844.
